π Step-by-Step Installation Instructions
1. Prepare the Base
- Clear the area of grass, roots, rocks, and debris.
- Excavate to a depth of at least 100mm.
- Add a 60mm layer of blue metal dust (crushed rock).
- Use a rake to spread evenly and shape the base.
- Compact the base with a plate compactor until it’s level and solid, ensuring proper water drainage.
2. Trim and Position Your Turf
- Roll out the synthetic turf over the compacted base.
- Trim the edges using a sharp utility knife to fit the space perfectly.
- If using multiple pieces, ensure all blades face the same direction for a consistent look.
3. Join the Turf Sections
- Align turf edges tightly.
- Use our self-adhesive joining tape along the seam to bond the sections.
- Press firmly for a secure, clean join.
4. Secure the Turf
- Use galvanized turf pegs around the perimeter and across the middle sections to hold the turf in place.
- Insert pegs every 30β50cm for best results.
5. Apply Sand Infill
- Spread silica sand infill evenly across the turf surface.
- Recommended: 1 bag per 2β3 sqm (depends on pile height and turf density).
- Sand infill helps:
- Keep turf blades upright
- Improve drainage
- Add weight to prevent movement
- Increase durability
- Protect backing from UV damage
6. Groom the Turf
- Use a power broom to brush the turf and work the infill into the base.
- This lifts the blades for a natural appearance and distributes sand evenly.

π§ Drainage & Maintenance
- Our synthetic turf is designed with built-in drainage holes to allow rainwater to flow through easily.
- For ongoing care:
- Hose down occasionally to remove dust
- Use a blower or broom to remove leaves and debris
- Re-broom as needed to maintain blade uprightness
π§ Maintenance Tip: Occasional top-up of sand infill and grooming helps preserve turf condition and extend lifespan.
